Mr. John G. Miller, Principal

Mr. Miller received his Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York, and a Masters of Education from the City University of New York.

Assistant Principal - Godwin Middle, 1996 - 2001
Assistant Principal - Stonewall Middle, 2001 - 2003
Principal - Stonewall Middle, 2003 - present

Keynotes:
Supervised the IBMYP Programme at Godwin and Stonewall
Implemented the Students Mastering Success process
Under Mr. Miller's leadership, Stonewall has been accredited for two years, including meeting the AYP provisions of the No Child Left Behind Act, has been authorized as an International Baccalaureate Organization World School, and been declared a Prince William County School of Excellence! 




Steve Stoebe, Assistant Principal

Mr. Stoebe received his B.S. from George Mason University in 1989. He earned his M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason in 1996.

Mr. Stoebe has taught for 16 years, including World History, Language Arts and Science.   He has served as a summer school principal, and spent 6 months as a Teacher on Administrative Assignment.   At Godwin, he instituted the Community Outreach Team, which provided instructional workshops for parents and adults on a variety of topics, including how to deal with gangs and violence.

I Believe . . .

- that education is learning through experience.  

- there is very little meaning to knowledge unless it is applied.

Krsunthia Childs, Assistant Principal

Mrs. Childs received her B.S. in   Vocational Business Education in 1998 from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA.   She completed her   M.Ed. in Educational Leadership at George Mason University in 2002

Mrs. Child's taught high school business education for three years, before becoming a Teacher on Administrative Assignment at Saunders Middle School.   For the past four years at Saunders, she has been known as the "get-it-done" person.   She has also served as both a night school and a summer school principal.
